Delete from inside the app

If you still have Bassfinity installed, this is the fastest route:

  1. Open Bassfinity and go to the You tab
  2. Tap the gear icon to open Settings
  3. Tap Delete Account and confirm

Request deletion by email

If you have already uninstalled the app, or you cannot sign in, email info@bassfinity.com from the address on your account, with the subject "Account deletion request". We will confirm the request before anything is deleted, so that nobody else can delete your account on your behalf.

What gets deleted

Deleting your account removes:

  • Your profile — display name, photo, home location, fishing preferences
  • Your catches, including photos, species, measurements and coordinates
  • Your saved spots, ratings, reviews and species reports
  • Your trips, patterns and forecast history
  • Your community posts and the account itself

Delete only some of your data

You do not have to delete your whole account to remove data. Inside the app you can:

  • Delete an individual catch, including its photo and coordinates, from My Catches
  • Delete a saved fishing spot from Spots
  • Clear your home location, fishing styles and favorite lakes from Edit Profile

Individual items deleted this way are removed immediately and are not held for the 30-day window described below. For anything you cannot remove yourself, email info@bassfinity.com.

How long account deletion takes

Your account enters a 30-day recovery period first, so you can change your mind by signing back in. After 30 days all of the data listed above is permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

What we keep, and why

We retain records we are legally required to keep, such as payment and tax records for completed subscription transactions. These are kept for the period the law requires and are not used to re-identify you in the app.

Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, not by us, so deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription. Cancel it in your Google Play subscriptions or your Apple ID settings before deleting, or you will continue to be charged.
